Program Requirements

Student must be 18 years of age, have a High School Diploma or GED and must have health clearance.


 Program Description

This course will provide students with the theory and clinical procedures necessary to develop skills to draw blood for various blood tests for entry-level positions in hospitals, doctor’s offices and laboratories.


Program Objective

The student will learn to perform procedures in veinpuncture, infection control, medical terminology, non-blood collections procedures, identify equipment supplies to perform phlebotomy. Transporting, accessioning and processing of specimens.
